Larry H. Miller Dealerships Spreads Joy Across Arizona with $236,700 in Donations During “10 Days of Giving”

Eighth annual campaign will provide $42,000 in donations to six Tucson-area nonprofits during the holiday season

TUCSON, Ariz. (December 9, 2021) – For the eighth year, employees of Larry H. Miller Dealerships will spread joy and holiday cheer to Tucson and Phoenix residents through the dealership group’s annual “10 Days of Giving” campaign. Over the course of the holiday campaign, employees will present $236,700 in donations, to 21 charities across Arizona, $42,000 of which will support nonprofits in Tucson.

This year’s Tucson donations will support charities that provide pajamas and books for abandoned and abused children, hunger relief for kids, free arts for children who are experiencing cancer and other serious illnesses, affordable housing, support and empowerment for young girls experiencing hardship, essential services for youth who have no familial support, and more.

“Altruistic at heart, our employees find fulfillment in giving back to their communities, especially during the holiday season,” said Pat Kroneberger, senior vice president, Larry H. Miller Dealerships. “Many of us have personal connections to the work these 21 charities are doing in our community and are grateful for the programs, services, and overall support they provide to those in need. It’s truly an honor to give our support through these donations, so we can help these organizations continue their mission.”

Larry H. Miller Charities disperses charitable donations through a grant program primarily focused on charities that serve women and children, with an emphasis on health and education.

Tuesday, December 14

  • 10 a.m. - $5,000 donation to Angel Heart Pajama Project. The donation will help the nonprofit provide 5,000 new sets of pajamas and books to children who are abandoned, abused, removed from homes and placed in foster care, or living in homeless shelters in the cities of Tucson, South Tucson, and surrounding counties in Southern Arizona.

Presentation will take place at 101 W. 44th St., Tucson, AZ, 85713

  • 1 p.m. - $2,000 donation to Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona. The organization aims to build girls of courage, confidence and character, to make the world a better place. The Larry H. Miller Dealerships grant will ensure that Tucson’s most vulnerable girls – and future leaders - have the consistent and committed support they need, with programming designed by and with them. The program directly impacts 81 girls annually, and with this donation, 50 girls will receive unparalleled leadership development opportunities.

Presentation will take place at 4300 E. Broadway Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85711

Wednesday, December 15

  • 10 a.m. - $10,000 donation to Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. The grant will assist the organization’s Child Nutrition Program. The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona’s Child Nutrition Program partners with 33 schools and family resource centers in Pima, Cochise, and Santa Cruz counties.  Between the organization’s School Pantry Program, Afterschool Meals and Snacks, and Summer Meals programs, 598 children will be provided with nutritious, high-protein foods and fresh produce.

  • 1 p.m. - $10,000 donation to Youth on Their Own.  Without the stability and support of a family, youth experiencing homelessness face unique barriers to education such as the inability to meet school enrollment requirements, lack of transportation, poor health, fatigue, and hunger, which prevent them from enrolling in school and obtaining education, which is their best hope for escaping poverty. The grant will provide financial assistance to these students via monthly stipends, bill assistance, basic needs items, transportation assistance, and more. The donation will help 46 Tucson students receive the stability and support they need.

Presentation will take place at 1660 N. Alvernon Way, Tucson, AZ 85712

Thursday, December 16

  • 1 p.m. - $5,000 donation to Beads of Courage Programs. The donation will support and strengthen children and teens who are coping with cancer and other serious illnesses in major children's hospitals and clinics across Tucson, by giving them colorful beads that help them tell their story and serve as meaningful symbols honoring the courage they display along their unique treatment path. Nearly 2,500 children receive Beads of Courage throughout the year, and with the donation, 1,500 kids will be directly impacted.

Presentation will take place at 3230 N. Dodge Blvd., Suite J, Tucson, AZ 85716
