Four Local Charities Receive Donations During Annual Larry H. Miller Drive for Good
Following an online nomination process and public voting, Blessings Under the Bridge, The ISAAC Foundation, Embrace Washington and Free Rein Therapeutic Riding were each selected to receive a check for $5,000 from Larry H. Miller Downtown Toyota Spokane and Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. The donations are a result of the Larry H. Miller Drive for Good, an annual program that recognizes nonprofit organizations in Spokane and the important role they play in serving the community.
Representatives from LHM Downtown Toyota recently presented $5,000 checks to each charity.
Blessings Under the Bridge works to serve those less fortunate by restoring purpose and dignity to the hearts of the homeless by hosting a weekly event where they serve meals, provide shoes, clothing, hygiene products and more. Holly Lytle founded the ISAAC Foundation in the memory of her son, Isaac, who passed away unexpectedly. The organization’s mission is to enhance the lives of those individuals and families touched by autism by providing educational, emotional and financial support programs. Embrace Washington seeks to connect caring individuals and families with vulnerable children in foster care through a partnership with the Department of Social and Health Services. Free Rein Therapeutic Riding aims to equip riders for life through adaptive equine activities focused on building strength, independence and freedom.
Larry H. Miller Charities is funded in large part through employee contributions. Donations are dispersed through a grant program primarily focused on charities that serve women and children, with an emphasis on health and education.
