Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Avondale Named Top Workplace in Arizona
Company stands out as only automotive dealership recognized on list of 100
The Arizona Republic and azcentral.com announced today that Larry H. Miller Dodge Ram Avondale (LHM Dodge Ram Avondale) has earned a spot on the list of the “2017 Top Companies to Work For in Arizona.” The dealership is the only new car retailer to be recognized on the list for the second consecutive year.
“It is incredible to see that a culture based on the values of stewardship, hard work, integrity and service can make such a difference both in the lives of our employees and our customers,” said Mike Messina, general manager, LHM Dodge Ram Avondale. “As our employees embrace the culture that we are striving to achieve, it drives them to succeed. In turn, it drives our business, making us the best place in town to work and do business. It is extremely gratifying to see the many lives that have been enriched as this dealership continues to evolve.”
LHM Dodge Ram Avondale was recognized for its employee incentive programs, flexible work schedules and community involvement. The dealership’s holiday bonus program, employee appreciation celebrations, quarterly onsite blood drives and Saturday lunches received mention.
All participating companies completed a two-part assessment process conducted by the independent workplace research firm, Best Companies Group (BCG). Part one of the process was the Employer Questionnaire, where BCG asked about benefits, HR policies and the fun things employers do for their employees. Part two was the Employee Engagement and Satisfaction Survey, which measured the employee experience in nine core focus areas: leadership and planning, corporate culture and communications, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with supervisor, training, development and resources, pay and benefits and overall engagement. Using the combined data from both parts of the survey process, BCG determined the top 100 organizations that made the grade.
“This Top Company list gets more competitive each year,” said Denise Gredler, founder and CEO of BestCompaniesAZ and consulting partner for the program. “The list of winners had very impressive employee survey results averaging an overall favorable rate of 90 percent and an overall employee engagement score of 92 percent, which is more than double the national average. These winners should be very proud of their engaged workforces. This presents a powerful opportunity for award winners to promote their company culture to retain and attract the best talent.”
The 100 “Top Companies” were honored at an awards breakfast reception on June 29, 2017, at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess and will be published in a special supplement in the July 2 issue of The Arizona Republic, as well as online at topcompanies.azcentral.com and www.BestCompaniesAZ.com.
