Donation Helps Spokane HOPE’s Toddler and Preschool Programs
Representatives from Larry H. Miller Dealerships’ four stores in Spokane, Washington presented a $5,000 donation to Spokane Hearing Oral Program of Excellence (HOPE) on Wednesday, April 11. HOPE provides early intervention auditory and language therapy to children with hearing loss during the early years of rapid brain development (birth – five years old).
“Our programs aim to help Spokane County children with hearing loss to have their best possible start in life and grow up confident, independent and able to speak,” said Kim Schafer, development director, HOPE. “We’re so thankful to Larry H. Miller Dealerships for their donation. It will go towards the installation of an audio/visual system so that parents can remotely access our session activities as they occur and replicate the techniques at home – and towards the purchase of a battery charger for cochlear implants used by our toddlers and preschoolers.”
