Larry H. Miller Nissan 104th and Adams County Animal Shelter Host Furry Friends Pet Adoption Event
In recognition of National Pet Week, Larry H. Miller Nissan 104th and Adams County Animal Shelter/Adoption Center will host the Furry Friends Pet Adoption event on Friday, May 11 from 1-6 p.m. Dogs and other small animals will be available for on-site adoption at the dealership. Adoption fees will include age-appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip identification, rabies vaccination and tag, and a free visit to a participating veterinary office.
“For each pet that is adopted during this event, we will pay half of the adoption fee and present our new pet owners with a starter kit, while supplies last,” explained Devin Schubert, general manager, Larry H. Miller Nissan 104th. “This is one way we can give back and ensure that our customers and community members have the opportunity to experience the joy of pet ownership.”
Throughout National Pet Week (May 7 -12), the dealership will also donate one bag of dog food for each car purchased to the Adams County Animal Shelter/Adoption Center. National Pet Week celebrates America’s more than 200 million pets that enrich the lives of people every day and creates awareness of the numerous animals available locally who need a home.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate National Pet Week, which is sponsored by the American Veterinary Medical Association, ” said Stephanie Wilde, director, Adams County Animal Shelter/Adoption Center. “We are taking this time to recognize the importance of adopting pets from shelters and to raise awareness of keeping pets healthy and safe with yearly vaccinations.”
Mark Moser, the voice of the Colorado Avalanche, and his Altitude 950 team will host an on-site live radio remote during the event. The community is encouraged to join the celebration and drive away with a new furry friend.
