Larry H. Miller Dealerships Raises $400,000 During Annual Golf Classic
Donation will be distributed to charities in the seven states where the dealership group does business
Employees of Larry H. Miller Dealerships, vendors and business partners gathered on a beautiful, sunny Monday for a friendly game of golf in the name of charity. Following the tournament, which saw 54 foursomes competing, the dealership group presented a $400,000 check to Larry H. Miller Charities, the charitable arm of Larry H. Dealerships. The organization focuses its donations on groups and programs that benefit women and children in the areas of health and education.
“The proceeds from the Larry H. Miller Golf Classic make a monumental difference in allowing us to give back in the communities where we do business,” said Jay Francis, executive vice president, corporate affairs and Miller Family Philanthropy. “This fundraiser is about one-third of the giving we will do this year and will allow us to make a real difference in our communities.”
Over 90 nonprofit organizations in seven western states benefitted from the $350,000 raised during the 2017 tournament. Since the inception of the Larry H. Miller Dealerships Golf Classic in 2012, more than $1.5 million has been raised.
The dealership group has locations in Utah, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico and Washington. Funding for Larry H. Miller Charities is generated, in large part, through Larry H. Miller companies and employee contributions.
