Dealership Selects Women’s & Children’s Alliance and Idaho Youth Ranch as Hometown Charities

Larry H. Miller Subaru Boise announced its participation in the 2017 Subaru Share the Love event and selected Women’s & Children’s Alliance and Idaho Youth Ranch as their hometown charities to be added to the list of organizations that customers can select to receive a Share the Love donation.

“When we select our hometown charities for the annual Subaru Share the Love event, we like to reach out to our employees to see which local organizations have significance to them,” said Ty Leuthold, general manager, Larry H. Miller Subaru Boise. “This year, we are excited to select the Women’s and Children’s Alliance and Idaho Youth Ranch, not only for their impact on our team and their family members, but also for their important contributions to our community. Both charities provide essential resources to those in need of assistance to help change their current circumstances and to create a safe and successful future.”

The Share the Love event runs from now until January 2, 2018 and allows Subaru dealerships the opportunity to select charities operating in their community to be included in a list of organizations that new owners and lessees can select from to receive a $250 donation from Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA). For the second year in a row, there will be no cap on the total donation from SOA to its Share the Love charitable partners. At the culmination of this year, SOA and its retailers hope to exceed a grand total of $115 million donated since the creation of Share the Love to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the event.

The 10th-annual Share the Love program will include the following four national charities:

  • ASPCA
  • Make-A-Wish
  • Meals on Wheels America
  • National Park Foundation

In 2016, SOA donated $37,204 to Big Brother Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho, and in 2015, more than $30,000 to Ride for Joy and the Idaho Humane Society. Boise Rescue Mission benefited from a $23,114 donation during the Share the Love campaign in 2014.

“For 10 years now, Subaru of America Inc.’s Share the Love event has worked with a host of national and local charities around the country to support some incredible causes and organizations that are dear to our brand and our owners,” said Alan Bethke, senior vice president of marketing, Subaru of America, Inc. “This year, we hope to continue the momentum and surpass our previous years’ donations while continuing to make a positive impact on the world around us.”
