Employees from Larry H. Miller Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Riverdale presented a $10,000 check on behalf of Larry H. Miller Charities and Larry H. Miller Group of Companies’ employees and businesses on Tuesday, September 5 to A Center for Grieving Children. The organization provides support for children who are grieving the loss of someone they love due to divorce or separation in the family, or death. The donation will be earmarked for the center’s support groups and Camp Comfort, a day camp for children and teens that provides activities such as music, art, canoeing and horseback riding.

“Children who are experiencing grief show a marked decline in their academic performance, including disruptive behavior in the classroom, truancy, depression and low self-esteem,” said Barbara Norris, executive director, A Center for Grieving Children. “With more than 50 separate group meetings each month, we work to address these problems in children and teens by providing grief support in a safe, supportive peer setting through listening and sharing.”
