Chevy Volt even more electrifying for 2016
When Chevy says “all-new,” the brand really mean it. That’s the term used to describe the fresh-faced2016 Chevrolet Volt, the brand’s plug-in hybrid hatchback sedan. It’s sleeker, sportier, savvier and so much more practical than in model years past.
Its hatchback sedan design inherently makes for a smooth roofline and an elegant silhouette, but its distinctive headlights and modernized mugshot make for a much more sophisticated-looking vehicle for 2016. Among other enhancements, the latest Volt sees a 25 percent increase in its all-electric range from last year, bumping up the EPA estimate to 53 all-electric miles. Its twin electric motors are paired with a 1.5-liter gasoline “range extender” which, when working alongside a full battery, manages to propel the Volt for up to 420 miles.
Sound too fuel-efficient to be fun to drive as well? You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the quiet, comfortable, responsive mystique of the all-electric drive mode.
