Dealerships Donate Turkeys and $5,000 to Thanksgiving Dinner for Those In Need
For the third year in a row, Larry H. Miller Dealerships in Spokane is presenting the Union Gospel Mission (UGM) with a $5,000 donation to fund their annual City-Wide Thanksgiving Dinner, which takes place on Wednesday, November 23 at the Spokane Convention Center. Each year, the UGM serves turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, and all of the holiday fixings to more than 1,000 homeless and low-income families.
“The holidays are such a meaningful time of year meant to be spent with family and friends. We’re pleased to do our part to provide warm meals for those in need in our neighborhood,” said Bob McLean, general manager, Larry H. Miller Lexus Spokane.
Each year, employees from Larry H. Miller Dealerships and their families join UGM staff and volunteers in serving the Thanksgiving Dinner and they collect turkeys to donate to the UGM for the dinner.
“Doing business in downtown Spokane, the staff at Larry H Miller Dealerships are well acquainted with the plight of the homeless. I so appreciate that they have taken positive action toward addressing the needs of this population,” said Phil Altmeyer, executive director, Union Gospel Mission. “Their partnership in putting on a City-Wide Thanksgiving Dinner that is open to everyone in need says a great deal about who they are as a company.”
